Jim is an Operating Partner with an expertise in healthcare technology and patient engagement. Jim serves on the Board of Sentrics.

Currently, Jim is the CEO of All Temp Refrigeration, a private equity-backed mechanical contractor specializing in industrial refrigeration.  Previously, he was the COO/CFO of Critical Signal Technologies (CST), a health services company with an innovative approach to remote patient monitoring.  Jim played a key role in helping start CST many years prior while working in private equity and executing against his investment thesis centered on tech-enabled services that support aging in place.  He later joined the company as the COO/CFO to help accelerate growth and enhance profitability, which culminated in the sale of CST to Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) in 2019.

Prior to CST, Jim was the CFO of Continental Energy Services (CES), a financial sponsor owned pipeline contractor.  During his tenure at CES, Jim implemented initiatives that helped grow the company 100% while also driving significant margin expansion.  Before transitioning to operating roles, Jim worked in private equity and focused on growth equity and buyout investments in healthcare, business services and software companies.  While in private equity, Jim authored and executed against several investment themes that required evaluating market trends, leading deal sourcing and execution, and partnering with management.  Highlights of his efforts include leading successful investments in Critical Signal Technologies and Quantum Secure, which was acquired by HID Global in 2015.

Early in his career, Jim was a founding employee of FOB.com, a supply chain software start-up.  FOB.com would later evolve into two separate companies – VelocityEHS and Spring CM – that both were acquired by publicly traded companies.  Jim began his career at Accenture.

Jim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from Miami University.
