Ujjal is an Operating Partner with an expertise in software, cloud services, IOT and marketing services.
Ujjal has extensive experience building and leading dynamic technology services companies, serving as CEO of three start-ups during the last several years: Preact (machine learning CRM software – acquired by Spotify), Rhythm NewMedia (mobile video ads, acquired by RhythmOne PLC) and Meru Networks (enterprise WiFi – IPO).
Previously, Ujjal was Executive Vice President, marketing and national sales, for AirTouch Cellular. During his seven-year stint at AirTouch (from IPO in 1992 to exit in 1999), Ujjal held various roles, including Chief Marketing Officer, and Vice President/General Manager of two business units. Early in his career, Ujjal was a Consultant with McKinsey and Company in London, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. He started his career at Intel, first in engineering and subsequently in marketing.
He holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT-New Delhi, MSEE from University of Rochester and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
