Periscope Equity Names Ami Mehta Principal, Operations

Chicago – October 28, 2019. Periscope Equity LLC (“Periscope”), a Chicago-based private equity firm that invests in lower-middle market technology-enabled business services companies, announced today that Ami Mehta has joined the firm as a Principal, Operations. In this new role, Ms. Mehta will develop and implement strategies for value creation – including revenue growth and margin improvement – in collaboration with leaders of Periscope’s portfolio companies.

Ms. Mehta brings significant operational, financial and strategic experience to her role. Prior to joining Periscope, she was chief financial officer of SMITH, a digital commerce agency, where she oversaw all aspects of finance. Prior to SMITH, Mehta worked with several private equity-backed platforms within the TPG and Waud Capital Partners portfolios to create operational and financial processes, and execute strategic growth initiatives. Earlier, she was regional CFO for the Americas at Heidrick & Struggles and vice president of Investments at Green Courte Partners. She developed early foundational experience in public accounting with Ernst & Young.

Mehta earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, MS in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, BS in Finance from the University of Illinois.
