Periscope Equity Promotes Joe McIlhattan to Principal

Chicago, IL — January 19, 2024. Periscope Equity announced today that Joe McIlhattan has been promoted to Principal.

Joe joined the firm as Vice President in 2020. He serves on the boards of WPAS, MAS and Praecipio and has been a critical member of the Uprise deal team. Since joining Periscope, Joe has been a valuable contributor to the firm’s growth in development of new theses, transaction underwriting as well as associate mentorship.

Prior to joining Periscope Equity, Joe was an Associate at SFW Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm, where he was primarily focused on making control investments into analytical technologies, software, and services businesses. During his time at SFW, he was responsible for initiating and executing investment opportunities, managing due diligence, and working with portfolio company management teams. Prior to SFW, Joe was a management consultant at Ernst & Young where he developed growth and transformation strategies for clients across various sectors.
